Aris Thessaloniki nears signing of Omar Richards from Nottingham Forest

Aris Thessaloniki is in the final stages of completing the transfer of left-back Omar Richards from Nottingham Forest. The agreement is set to be finalized for a reported fee of 2 million euros, with the player expected to sign a four-year contract. The deal follows advanced negotiations between the clubs, and the player is scheduled to travel to Thessaloniki soon to undergo medical and ergometric examinations.

Richards, a graduate of the Reading youth system, previously played for Bayern Munich before joining Nottingham Forest in 2022 for 8.5 million euros. His recent career includes a loan spell at Olympiacos where he made 14 appearances and a stint at Rio Ave, where he played 45 times since 2024. Having participated in Nottingham Forest's pre-season training and friendly matches, the defender is considered match-fit and ready to integrate immediately into the Aris squad.
