Nicosia EOA awaits 2 million euros for dangerous buildings – 656 exist in the entire district

The Nicosia District Organization for Local Government (EOA) is awaiting two million euros in funding from the Ministry of the Interior to address dangerous building structures. This budget was originally allocated by the Fund for the Revitalization of Remote Areas, but was transferred following local government reforms. Currently, there are 656 dangerous buildings and 55 structures in need of repair across the district, with 171 of the dangerous sites located within the Nicosia municipal area.
