Aris Limassol rejects 1.5 million euro bid for Alex Sarfo
Aris Limassol has officially rejected a third transfer offer from the Belgian club KV Kortrijk for Ghanaian midfielder Alex Opoku Sarfo. According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the final bid amounted to 1.5 million euros, consisting of a 1 million euro transfer fee and 500,000 euros in performance-based bonuses.
Despite the significant financial offer, the Cypriot club maintained its stance that the player is not for sale, effectively ending negotiations between the two teams. Reports indicate that KV Kortrijk had previously attempted to acquire the 23-year-old through earlier bids of 600,000 and 800,000 euros, all of which were dismissed by Aris. Sources report that the player is deeply disappointed by the outcome.
Alex Sarfo joined Aris in 2023 and has since made 34 appearances for the team, scoring one goal. His career has also included loan spells at Nizhny Novgorod, where he played 14 matches, and AEZ Zakakiou. Following the breakdown of these transfer talks, Sarfo is expected to remain with the Limassol side for the current season.
