Police search for two suspects following a stabbing incident in Zakaki, Limassol

Cypriot police have issued a public appeal for information regarding two Syrian nationals, 22-year-old Wael Armedi and 20-year-old Fardous Alrmedein. The pair is currently wanted in connection with a violent incident that occurred on August 14, 2026, in the Limassol district.

The authorities are investigating the suspects for conspiracy to commit a felony, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, and illegal possession of a knife. The investigation stems from a dispute that reportedly escalated into a stabbing at a construction site in the Zakaki area, resulting in injuries to a 24-year-old man. The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is leading the inquiry and has urged anyone with relevant information to contact the department at 25-805057, their local police station, or the Citizen’s Hotline at 1460.
