Motorcyclist in critical condition after collision with taxi in Voula

A 39-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition following a severe traffic accident that occurred on Monday night, August 17, 2026, on Poseidonos Avenue near the PIKPA facility in Voula. Security camera footage captured the incident, showing a taxi moving in the direction of Vouliagmeni and attempting a U-turn at Crete Square, during which the speeding motorcycle collided with the vehicle. The injured rider was immediately transported to Asklipieio Hospital for treatment.

Following the accident, the taxi driver was arrested on charges of dangerous driving and negligent bodily harm. Authorities confirmed that the driver passed an alcohol breathalyzer test, which returned negative results. Officers from the First Department of Traffic Police of Southeast Attica are currently conducting an investigation to determine the exact circumstances and liabilities surrounding the collision.
