82-year-old woman dies following road crash in Limassol

An 82-year-old woman from Limassol, identified as Thessaloniki Constantinidi (or Konstantinidi), has died after being involved in a road traffic accident. The incident took place on August 4, 2026, on Xirokampou Street in Limassol, when a vehicle driven by a 79-year-old man lost control and collided with a metal railing at a nearby property.

Following the crash, all three occupants were transported to a private hospital in Limassol for medical attention. The driver and an 84-year-old woman, who was seated in the back, were admitted to the orthopaedic and surgical departments. Constantinidi, who was in the front passenger seat, remained in critical condition within the intensive care unit for fourteen days before succumbing to her injuries on August 18, 2026.

The Limassol Traffic Police continue to investigate the exact circumstances surrounding the loss of vehicle control. The ongoing investigation aims to determine the factors that led to the collision.
