Omonia prepares for Europa League play-off match against STVV

Omonia is set to travel to Belgium for the first leg of the UEFA Europa League play-off against Sint-Truiden (STVV), scheduled for August 20 at 21:00. The delegation departs from Larnaca Airport on August 18, with an arrival in Liege expected shortly after midnight. The team will hold a press conference and a training session at the Stayen stadium on August 19 before the match.

Manager Henning Berg has named a squad of 23 players for this encounter, featuring newcomers Jean-Kevin Duplus and Lubomir Satka. However, Moses Odubajo remains excluded from the list, and Michali Mayambela has been left out as a precaution due to muscle discomfort, with his condition being monitored daily. Club spokesperson Andreas Demetriou emphasized the challenge posed by the Belgian side, which finished third in their domestic league last season.

The team is scheduled to depart Belgium early on August 21, arriving back in Larnaca by 06:40. Omonia aims to secure a favorable result in this first meeting to build a strong foundation for reaching the Europa League Group Phase.
