Apollon Limassol loans Andreas Athanasiou to Krasava ENY Ypsonas
Apollon Limassol has officially announced the loan of winger Andreas Athanasiou to Krasava ENY Ypsonas. The agreement, confirmed on August 18, 2026, will see the 22-year-old player remain with the Ypsonas-based team until the end of the 2026-2027 competitive season.
Athanasiou, born on April 24, 2004, previously spent time in the youth academies of APOEL and PAOK before playing for Akritas Chlorakas last season. The decision to loan the player was made primarily to provide him with more playing time and competitive experience, as the current Apollon squad features numerous options at the attacking wings, which has limited his opportunities for participation.
Following the announcement, both clubs expressed their formal confirmation of the deal, with Apollon wishing the young athlete success during his tenure at his new club. The primary objective for this move is to foster Athanasiou's professional development, with the expectation that he will return to his parent club with improved skills and match readiness after the loan period concludes.
