Police appeal for information regarding missing 15-year-old in Nicosia

Cypriot authorities have issued a missing person appeal for 15-year-old Sotiroula Oikonomidou from Nicosia, who was last seen on the evening of August 18, 2026. She went missing from her place of residence in Aglantzia at approximately 9:00 p.m.

Sotiroula is described as having a thin build, standing approximately 1.65 meters tall with long black hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a white short-sleeved shirt, black long leggings with two white stripes on the side, and white and black athletic shoes. She was also carrying a black and purple backpack.

The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) has requested that anyone with relevant information contact them at 22-802222, reach out to their nearest police station, or call the Citizens' Line at 1460. The investigation into her whereabouts is currently ongoing, and police are urging the public to assist in the search to ensure the teenager is located safely.
