Aris Limassol signs new young defenders Bence Szőke and Lazar Maras

Aris Limassol has bolstered its defensive line with two young international players. On August 19, 2026, the club announced the signing of 19-year-old Hungarian right-back Bence Szőke from Diósgyőri VTK on a five-year contract lasting until the summer of 2031. Szőke, a product of the Hungarian club’s academy, made 35 senior appearances for them, contributing one goal and two assists, and is currently a member of the Hungary U19 national team.

Following this, on August 20, 2026, Aris announced the acquisition of 20-year-old Montenegrin left-back Lazar Maras from FK Dečić Tuzi. Maras signed a three-year contract, which includes an option for extension by the club. Born on January 1, 2006, the defender previously played for Budućnost Podgorica before moving to Dečić Tuzi in January 2024. During the 2025-26 season, he established himself as a starter, recording 35 appearances across all competitions and totaling 54 appearances for his former club. Maras currently represents the Montenegro U21 national team.
