Road closures announced in Strovolos for asphalt works

The Municipality of Strovolos has announced a schedule for asphalt resurfacing works affecting traffic on two major streets on August 24 and August 25. The maintenance project aims to improve road infrastructure in the area, requiring temporary closures.

On Monday, August 24, Odysseas Elytis Street will be closed to traffic from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, specifically the section between its junctions with Konstantinoupoleos Street and Ouranou Street. On Tuesday, August 25, work will shift to Democratias Street. This stretch, located between the Iosif Hadjiiosif Avenue junction and the entrance to Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue, will be closed from 8:00 pm on Tuesday until 5:30 am on Wednesday, August 26.

Municipal authorities have requested that local residents and commuters remove their vehicles from the affected road sections prior to the start of the works. Drivers are advised to strictly follow the on-site road signage and any instructions provided by police to ensure safety during the maintenance period.
