French official accused of drugging nearly 250 women during job interviews
Between 2009 and 2018, a senior official at the French Ministry of Culture, Christian Negre, allegedly victimized nearly 250 women by surreptitiously administering diuretics during job interviews. The suspect, now over 60, would offer the women coffee spiked with medication and then lead them to public areas, waiting for them to lose control of their bladder due to the drug's effects. Victims, including Anais de Vos and Marie-Helene Brice, described enduring intense physical distress and humiliation during these encounters.
Authorities discovered a file on Negre's computer that tracked his victims, the timing of the diuretics' effects, and the type of underwear the women were wearing, providing significant evidence for the investigation. Negre is currently under official investigation on charges including administration of harmful substances, violation of privacy, and sexual assault. The case has sparked national outrage, drawing comparisons to the high-profile chemical submission case involving Gisele Pelicot. He is awaiting trial, and investigators are continuing to process the evidence against him.
