UAE moves toward extraditing two Greek nationals wanted for homicide

United Arab Emirates authorities have officially accepted a Greek extradition request for two individuals arrested in Dubai in mid-June 2026. The two men, a 51-year-old native of Georgia known as "Entik" and a 43-year-old born in Uzbekistan, are sought in connection with four homicides linked to the so-called "Greek Mafia." Following their arrest, the detainees were placed under house arrest in a Dubai hotel, monitored by electronic tracking devices.

Since early August 2026, intensive diplomatic and judicial negotiations have been underway between Greek and Emirati officials. Recently, Dubai authorities requested supplementary documentation, specifically asking for the submission of the original national arrest warrant instead of the existing Interpol Red Notice, as well as a refined extradition request. Greece has responded to these requests, and Emirati authorities have indicated that the receipt of these documents may finalize the authorization for the men's transfer to Greece. This process represents a significant step forward in the ongoing investigation into the criminal network involved in the murders.
