Anorthosis prepares for the season opener with a final friendly match

Anorthosis Famagusta is set to host Karmiotissa in a final friendly match on August 22, 2026, at the Freedom Antonis Papadopoulos stadium, starting at 19:00. This match serves as the ultimate test for head coach Nestor El Maestro to evaluate his squad and finalize tactical plans before the official championship opener against AEL Limassol on August 30. Tickets for the game are priced at 10 euros for general admission and 1 euro for children, though the match will not be broadcast on television.

Regarding the squad, Alessio Da Cruz has fully returned to training, while Miedendorph is nearing full fitness. However, captain Kostakis Artymatas remains sidelined as a precaution and will miss the friendly to ensure his availability for the AEL clash.
