Uncertainty persists regarding home venues for E.N.Y. and Karmiotissa ahead of league start
With only ten days remaining before the start of the championship, the issue of home venues for E.N.Y. and Karmiotissa remains unresolved. The Tsirio Stadium still lacks the necessary licensing, casting doubt on its availability for the upcoming matches. This situation has created a bureaucratic cycle where stakeholders are shifting responsibility, leaving the clubs in a precarious position just before the season begins.
On July 20, the Cyprus Football Association (KOP) announced that both teams would use the Tsirio Stadium, with the provision that if licensing was not secured, Karmiotissa would move to Ethnikos Achnas Stadium and E.N.Y. would relocate to the Vitex Ammochostos Epistrofi Stadium. However, Nea Salamina, the authority managing the Ammochostos venue, has clarified that no agreement exists to host E.N.Y., leaving the club effectively without a home. The clubs and the governing bodies now face mounting pressure to finalize these arrangements before the league debut.
