Northern Ireland man faces court over alleged voyeurism at Larnaca airport
Andrew George Tinsley, a 51-year-old former car dealer from Dromore, County Down, appeared before the High Court in Northern Ireland on August 19, 2026. He is accused of secretly filming a young man in the toilets at Larnaca International Airport while returning from a family vacation in Cyprus.
Tinsley has an extensive criminal history related to sexual offenses, specifically convictions for voyeurism involving the covert recording of men and boys in public restrooms, as well as the possession of indecent images of minors. Due to his past, he is currently subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) effective until 2030, which explicitly prohibits him from deleting photos or videos from his mobile phone.
The case highlights a serious international legal dimension involving the cooperation between Northern Irish authorities and Cyprus. The ongoing judicial proceedings focus on the breach of his current order and the new allegations of misconduct while abroad.
