A 26-year-old man was arrested in the Famagusta district on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, following a police operation targeting drug trafficking. Officers from the Anti-Drugs Unit (YKAN) conducted a search of the suspect's apartment on August 14 under a judicial warrant, in the presence of the apartment complex’s deputy manager.
During the search, authorities discovered a nylon bag containing approximately 500 grams of cocaine, alongside an additional 5 grams of the substance scattered on a bed. Following the seizure, an arrest warrant was issued for the occupant.
