Charles Spencer to release new book about sister Princess Diana

Charles Spencer has announced the publication of a new book titled "Swan Song: Diana, My Sister," which provides a personal account of his late sister, Princess Diana. The book is scheduled for a simultaneous global release on September 22, 2026, across several countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, and France. It will be published by Penguin Michael Joseph in the UK, Penguin Press in the US, and Flammarion in France, with plans for translation into 12 languages.

The work aims to offer an authentic perspective on Diana's character and experiences, detailing their shared life story and the tragic events surrounding her death in Paris on August 31, 1997. At 36 years old, the princess died following a car accident, a tragedy that remains a significant point of reflection for her brother. The book is described as a detailed personal account intended to preserve her legacy.

This publication arrives as the 30th anniversary of Princess Diana's passing approaches. Spencer stated that the project serves as a commitment to revealing the truth about her life from his unique vantage point as her younger brother, marking the first time he has provided such an extensive narrative regarding their relationship and the week following her death.
