Recent fire incidents in Paphos and arson attacks in Limassol

On Saturday, August 22, 2026, a wildfire broke out near the Statos-Agios Fotios community in the Paphos district, burning three hectares of land, including vineyards and acacias. Emergency response teams, including the Forestry Department, Fire Service, and volunteers from 'Atlas' and 'Blue Heart', deployed significant ground and aerial resources to contain the blaze.
