Vehicle fire damages home in Moni

On the evening of Wednesday, August 20, 2026, a vehicle parked outside a residence in the community of Moni, Limassol district, was destroyed by a fire. The emergency services received a notification regarding the blaze at 8:41 p.m., prompting an immediate response from the Agios Nikolaos Fire Station.

Two fire engines were dispatched to the location to manage the incident. Firefighters successfully brought the flames under control by 9:09 p.m. While the vehicle sustained extensive damage from the fire, the heat also caused damage to the exterior door of the nearby residence. No injuries were reported, and the incident remained contained to the immediate area.

The Fire Service, in collaboration with other relevant local authorities, has initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire. As of now, the inquiry remains ongoing to assess whether the blaze resulted from technical failure or external factors.
