Mike Batiste returns to Panathinaikos coaching staff

Legendary former player Mike Batiste has arrived in Athens to officially begin his third tenure with Panathinaikos, this time serving as an assistant coach. The American basketball figure is set to work directly under head coach Zeljko Obradovic, following his transition into a coaching career in recent years.

The team is currently preparing for the upcoming season, with the official squad gathering scheduled for August 24. Batiste’s return to the "Telekom Center Athens" marks a reunion with his long-time mentor, Obradovic. The club expressed its welcome through official channels, highlighting the significance of the veteran's homecoming to the team where he previously enjoyed significant success as a power forward and center.

This appointment comes as part of the organizational restructuring for the new season. The coaching staff will now focus on the initial training sessions starting late August, as the team looks to integrate the new coaching dynamics and prepare for competitive obligations.
