Karmiotissa FC signs Greek goalkeeper Nikos Giannakopoulos

Karmiotissa FC officially announced the signing of 33-year-old Greek goalkeeper Nikos Giannakopoulos on August 20, 2026. The experienced player, born on February 19, 1993, joins the Cypriot club following his most recent tenure at Panionios in Greece.

Giannakopoulos brings extensive international and domestic experience to the team. His professional background includes stints at Greek clubs such as Panathinaikos, Kerkyra, Panaitolikos, and Apollon Smyrnis, along with international experience in the leagues of Moldova, Israel, and Finland. Notably, this will be his second spell in the Cypriot league, as he previously played for Aris Limassol during the 2016-17 season.
