Giannis Konstantelias completes transfer to Borussia Dortmund

Greek football talent Giannis Konstantelias has officially joined Borussia Dortmund, transitioning from PAOK to the Bundesliga club. The 21-year-old midfielder has signed a contract running until 2031 and has already begun his integration into the squad, completing his first training session with his new teammates under the direction of coach Kovac.

Konstantelias will wear the number 45 jersey for his new team. While many fans expected him to retain the number 65 that he famously wore at PAOK, league regulations in the Bundesliga strictly limit player jersey numbers to the range of 1 through 49, necessitating a change. The player has since addressed public curiosity by explaining his personal rationale behind selecting the number 45.

Following his arrival in Westphalia and his initial successful training session, the coaching staff is currently preparing for his integration. Coach Kovac has already identified the timeline for the young player's debut, as Konstantelias looks to solidify his position in the German top-flight league.
