Karmiotissa updates home stadium and squad preparations

Karmiotissa Polemidion has officially received approval from the Cyprus Football Association (KOP) to change its designated alternative home stadium for the 2026-2027 season. The team will now use the Stelios Kyriakides Stadium instead of the originally declared Ethnikos Achnas Stadium. Consequently, the first-round league match against Pafos FC will also be hosted at the Stelios Kyriakides venue. Club spokesperson Aristos Panagidis confirmed that while the Tsirio Stadium remains their primary choice, the Stelios Kyriakides facility provides a more functional solution given the current circumstances and pending decisions from the Licensing Authority.

Regarding the squad, the team is finalizing its roster with plans to add two to three more players to the current lineup, which recently saw the acquisition of new defensive talents, Martinov and Cesar. Manager Alexis Garpozis is overseeing the final preparations, including a closing friendly match against Anorthosis at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium to test the starting eleven. The primary objective for the season is for Karmiotissa to maintain its place in the first division as they approach the league opener.
