Pafos FC secures loan deal for PSG defender Yoram Zague
Pafos FC has reached a definitive agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for the one-year loan of 20-year-old French right-back Yoram Zague. The deal, confirmed by reports from both French and Cypriot media, includes an option for the Cypriot club to purchase the player permanently at the end of the season. Zague is expected to bolster the defensive line for the Cypriot cup winners as they compete in European playoffs.
Zague is a product of the PSG academy and has made 11 appearances for the French club, scoring one goal. He gained significant experience last season while on loan at FC Copenhagen and Eupen, notably participating in five Champions League matches with the Danish side. Throughout his career, he has recorded 94 total appearances with 14 goals and 17 assists across various levels.
Following the final agreement between the two clubs, the player is scheduled to arrive in Cyprus to undergo medical examinations. The transfer is considered a major move for Pafos FC, as the player remains under contract with PSG until June 2028, but was deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Luis Enrique.
