Larnaca Municipality announces public consultation for new local plan
The Municipality of Larnaca has initiated a series of public dialogues with residents across its three municipal districts to discuss the upcoming revision of the city’s Local Plan. This consultation process follows an official announcement by the Ministry of Interior regarding the development of a new urban planning framework. The sessions will be facilitated by the urban planning firm ALA Planning Partnership Consultancy, which will present the project's timeline, core development principles, and an analysis of current zoning and future growth challenges.
Three open meetings are scheduled to gather community feedback on the future of Larnaca, Livadia, and Oroklini. The sessions will take place as follows: September 1 at 6 p.m. in the Livadia Municipal District event hall, September 3 at 6 p.m. at the Oroklini Municipal District Amphitheatre, and September 7 at 6 p.m. at the Larnaca Municipality’s Multipurpose Social Welfare and Employment Centre. The goal is to incorporate citizen perspectives into the broader urban design and policy-making strategies that will define the region's development trajectory.
