Many areas in Cyprus without power

Shortly before 11:00 this morning, a widespread power outage occurred across all six districts of Cyprus. According to the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC), the disruption was caused by a fault in the electricity production system managed by the Transmission System Operator. A significant number of consumers were affected by the sudden loss of power. Technical crews are currently working on-site to resolve the issue and restore electricity to the affected areas.
