Fourteen-year-old boy injured in e-scooter crash in Trachoni

A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized following a serious road accident in Trachoni, Limassol, shortly after midnight on Friday, August 21, 2026. The teenager was riding an electric scooter when he collided with the rear of a parked vehicle under circumstances currently being investigated by the Episkopi Police Station.

The victim was initially transported to Limassol General Hospital before being transferred to Nicosia General Hospital for specialized medical examinations. Doctors diagnosed an epidural haematoma, and the boy was subsequently moved to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Makarios Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. Police authorities have reported that the minor was not wearing a safety helmet and was operating the e-scooter on a road where such vehicles are not permitted. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
