Teenager injured in electric scooter collision in Trachoni

A serious traffic accident occurred in the village of Trachoni shortly after midnight on August 21, 2026, involving a 14-year-old boy. The teenager, who was riding an electric scooter, collided with the rear of a parked vehicle under circumstances that remain under active investigation by local authorities.

Following the collision, the victim was first transported to Limassol General Hospital to receive immediate medical attention. He was subsequently transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where medical staff diagnosed him with an epidural haematoma. Given the severity of the injury, he was moved to Makarios Hospital for specialized care and is currently receiving treatment in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. Doctors have reported that his clinical condition is stable.

Officers from the Episkopi Police Station are currently conducting an investigation into the exact causes and conditions surrounding the incident. As of now, the inquiry remains ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
