Fourteen-year-old hospitalized following electric scooter crash in Trakhoni
A 14-year-old boy is in stable but serious condition in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Makarios Hospital in Nicosia after a collision involving an electric scooter. The incident occurred at 00:30 on Friday, August 21, 2026, in Trakhoni, Limassol, when the teenager struck the rear of a parked vehicle. He was initially transported to Limassol General Hospital and subsequently transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where doctors diagnosed an epidural hematoma.
Police reports indicate that the minor was not wearing a protective helmet at the time of the accident and was operating the scooter in a restricted area.
