Omonia prepares for goalkeeper changes as Uzoho nears exit

Omonia Nicosia is finalizing plans to restructure its goalkeeping lineup as the team enters the final stretch of the transfer period. Club president Stavros Papastavrou, sporting director Simos Tarapoulouzis, and head coach Henning Berg have reached a consensus to pursue new transfers, including a search for a high-caliber goalkeeper who can compete with Fabiano. Simultaneously, 27-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, who has made 77 appearances for Omonia since joining in 2021, is set to depart. After an initial deal with Karmiotissa failed, Uzoho is now expected to move to Krasava ENY on a season-long loan. Since his contract expires in May 2027, this move effectively concludes his tenure at the club. The club is waiting to secure a new replacement before formally authorizing Uzoho’s departure, with technical staff member Andreas Lougridis collaborating on the transition.
