Shops vandalized and burglarized in Tala, Paphos
On the morning of August 22, 2026, unknown perpetrators targeted two commercial properties located on the main road of Tala village in the Paphos district. The suspects gained entry to a local pharmacy by smashing its glass display, subsequently stealing various pharmaceutical products, perfumes, and cosmetics. A nearby café was also targeted, where the perpetrators shattered the glass entrance but did not enter the premises.
Local authorities arrived at the scene, cordoned off the areas, and have launched an official investigation into the incidents. Police are currently analyzing footage from closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed in the vicinity, which is a rapidly developing commercial and residential area. While the investigation remains ongoing, the perpetrators have not yet been identified or apprehended.
