Lithuanian real estate agent to be extradited to Cyprus over property usurpation

The Republic of Cyprus is set to receive a 53-year-old Lithuanian real estate agent following a French court's decision to reject her appeal against extradition. The suspect was originally arrested at the Nice airport on May 16, 2026, acting on a European arrest warrant issued by Cypriot authorities. The individual is accused of involvement in the illegal usurpation and exploitation of Greek-Cypriot properties located in the occupied territories.

Following the dismissal of her appeal, which was reviewed by French judicial authorities in early July, the formal procedures for her transfer to Cyprus have been initiated. While officials have not provided a specific date for her arrival, they confirmed that the process will conclude as soon as the final bureaucratic requirements are met.
