Omonia rejects two transfer offers from Rodina Moscow for Senou Coulibaly

Omonia Nicosia has officially rejected two transfer bids from the Russian club Rodina Moscow for 31-year-old central defender Senou Coulibaly. The Cypriot club, managed by Henning Berg, deemed the offers insufficient and maintains that the Malian international is a key member of their squad. Coulibaly joined Omonia in 2023 and is under contract until the summer of 2028, having made 129 appearances and scored 13 goals for the team.

Rodina Moscow, owned by Sergey Lomakin, remains interested in the player as he is a primary transfer target. The possibility of a third, improved offer from the Russian side has not been ruled out. Following the rejection of the bids, Coulibaly posted an enigmatic message on social media stating, "Nobody is irreplaceable. Leave and see how quickly you can be replaced," which sparked speculation among fans regarding his future, though no official link between the post and his transfer status has been confirmed.

Omonia holds a strong negotiating position and has stated they will only consider a sale if the financial terms meet their valuation of the player. As the transfer window remains open, the club has not released an official statement, while the team and its supporters monitor whether a higher, seven-figure bid will be submitted.
