Omonoia rejects two offers for Senou Coulibaly

Omonoia Nicosia has officially rejected two consecutive transfer offers from a Russian club for their 31-year-old central defender, Senou Coulibaly. Club president Stavros Papastavrou and the administration decided that the proposed financial terms did not match the player's market value or his importance to the team. Coulibaly, who is under contract until 2028, remains a vital part of Henning Berg’s defensive strategy alongside Nikolas Panagiotou.

Since joining in 2023, the Malian defender has recorded 129 appearances and 13 goals for the club. While the management has expressed that they are not inherently against selling players, they maintain that any departure would require a significant financial consideration. Following the failed negotiations, Coulibaly posted an enigmatic message on Instagram stating that "no one is irreplaceable," which has fueled public speculation regarding his future at the club.
