Omonia reach verbal agreement to sign goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski
Omonia Nicosia is set to acquire 33-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski after reaching a verbal agreement with the player. Kaminski, who previously played in the Cypriot league for Anorthosis in the 2014-2015 season and recorded 38 appearances in the Premier League for Luton during the 2023-2024 season, fell out of favor at his current English club, Charlton, following the arrival of Arthur Okonkwo.
The transfer is expected to finalize shortly, providing a boost to Omonia’s squad as they seek to strengthen their competitive depth behind Fabiano. The deal is contingent on the departure of Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, who is in advanced talks regarding a loan move to ENY for the 2026-27 season. Omonia officials emphasized that they would not release Uzoho until a replacement was secured.
In addition to the goalkeeping changes, Omonia is reportedly in advanced negotiations with Greek midfielder Tasos Bakasetas, as the club aims to enhance its offensive capabilities. The official announcement of Kaminski's signing is expected soon, pending final documentation, while the club continues its efforts to finalize the roster for the upcoming season.
