Mitsotakis: Meridiam's entry gives new strength to the Cyprus–Greece electrical interconnection – How he responds to Turkey regarding spatial planning

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcomed the entry of the French investment group Meridiam as a majority shareholder in the Great Sea Interconnector project. The agreement aims to provide financial and technical momentum to the electrical interconnection between Greece and Cyprus, while the French firm Nexans has been tasked with cable construction. Mitsotakis emphasized that the project will end Cyprus's energy isolation and reaffirmed that Greece remains committed to international law despite recent objections from Turkey regarding maritime spatial planning.
