Weekly cultural events across Cyprus: concerts and cinema screenings
Cyprus hosts a variety of cultural events from August 23 to August 29, 2026, featuring music performances and cinema screenings. The newly formed Cyprus Saxophone Orchestra, under the artistic direction of Yiannis Myralis, presents the "Saxophone Festivities" concerts. The two-part tour begins on August 24 at the Paphos District Archaeological Museum at 8 p.m., followed by a performance on August 25 at the Protaras pedestrian street. The twelve-member ensemble will perform works inspired by Cypriot composer Alexandros Darna, showcasing the full range of the saxophone family, from sopranino to bass.
Meanwhile, the Constantia Cinema continues its summer marathon with daily screenings at 9 p.m. The lineup includes "The President’s Cake" (August 23), "Deaf" (August 26), "Caravaggio’s Shadow" (August 27), "Kneecap" (August 28), and "Banel & Adama" (August 29). Tickets are priced at €5, with a season pass available for €55 and free entry for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, workshops for children and adults, focusing on the Cypriot fairy tale "I Triantafyllenia," will be held in Oikos Marathasas as part of the local artistic program.
