Five people found dead in rural Oregon residence

Authorities in Washington County, Oregon, are investigating the deaths of five people discovered on Saturday in a home near Forest Grove, approximately 30 miles from Portland. Police arrived at the scene following reports of a vehicle fire, where they found the victims and several deceased pets. Washington County Sheriff Caprice Massey described the scene as the most complex she has encountered during her 22-year career.

Law enforcement identified 36-year-old Benjamin Charles Parker as a suspect in the murders. On Sunday, authorities discovered Parker deceased inside his vehicle in Enumclaw, located about 45 miles from Seattle. Officials believe he died by suicide. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, though authorities initially indicated that the homicides were not considered random acts. No further arrests have been reported as investigators continue to process the evidence.
