Paphos residents threaten protests over hospital administrative and facility failures

Residents of Paphos have threatened to take dynamic measures due to persistent organizational issues at the Paphos General Hospital. The primary grievances involve the ongoing failure to appoint an executive director and the continued closure of the hospital cafeteria, a problem that has remained unresolved for six years.

Despite assurances given by the State Health Services Organization (OKYPY) last April regarding the appointment of a director—which would facilitate the hospital's administrative independence from the Limassol General Hospital—no significant action has been taken. The lack of progress on these long-standing issues has caused ongoing frustration among patients and visitors, who continue to demand concrete solutions to improve the facility's daily operations.
