Third suspect arrested in Paphos delivery worker assault case

Paphos police have arrested a third suspect, a 34-year-old man, in connection with a violent incident involving food delivery workers that occurred on August 18, 2026. The arrest followed testimony obtained by investigators, leading to a warrant and subsequent appearance before the Paphos District Court on August 24, where a four-day detention order was issued. Two other individuals previously arrested in relation to the same case remain in custody to facilitate the ongoing investigation.

The incident took place in the Mouttalos area of Paphos, where a dispute over payment for a food order escalated into a physical altercation involving approximately ten men. The violence resulted in injuries to five delivery riders, one of whom was also robbed of cash and a mobile phone. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Paphos continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the assault and robbery as they proceed with the legal process for those detained.
