Breather for the dams: Capacity is more than double compared to last year

Cyprus dams show significant recovery with total water reserves reaching 38.4% capacity, up from 15.3% during the same period last year. Current storage stands at 111.69 million cubic meters, a substantial increase from the 44.59 million recorded previously. While almost all dams across the island show improved levels, the Kalopanayiotis dam leads with 98.6% capacity. Despite this positive trend, the overall water reserves remain below 40% of the total storage capacity of 290.8 million cubic meters.
