Roadworks scheduled for Limassol-Paphos motorway

The Limassol District Engineer's Office of the Department of Public Works has announced essential maintenance operations on the Limassol-Paphos motorway. These works are scheduled to take place near the new Limassol stadium from Tuesday, August 25, through Thursday, August 27, 2026. The construction activities will occur nightly between 21:00 and 05:30 to facilitate vegetation removal and concrete installation along the central reservation.

During the designated time frames, the fast lane will be closed in sections across both directions for a distance of approximately 1,500 meters. Traffic flow will be diverted into the slow lane to ensure worker safety and ongoing transit. Motorists are advised that these adjustments are necessary for the upkeep of the road infrastructure. The Department of Public Works has requested that the public exercise patience, practice caution, and strictly adhere to temporary road markings and instructions provided by the police. No further extensions or additional road closures have been announced at this time.
