Krasnodar negotiates transfer of Gelson Martins from Olympiacos
Russian football club Krasnodar is currently in negotiations to sign Portuguese winger Gelson Martins from the Greek club Olympiacos. The 31-year-old player has reportedly reached a personal agreement with the Russian side, which is offering him an annual salary exceeding 2.5 million euros. Martins has expressed his willingness to move to Russia, having completed 94 appearances for the Piraeus-based club, during which he scored 15 goals and provided 17 assists.
While personal terms are settled, the clubs have yet to reach an agreement on the transfer fee. Krasnodar has offered 4 million euros for the player, but Olympiacos is holding out for at least 6 million euros to authorize the sale. As negotiations continue, the transfer remains in a critical phase with both clubs working to bridge the financial gap before the window closes.
