Pafos regional tourism board launches campaign to attract domestic travelers
The Pafos Regional Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP) is currently implementing an extensive summer campaign designed to encourage domestic tourism among permanent residents of Cyprus. The initiative emphasizes the natural beauty of the Polis Chrysochous region and the Akamas Peninsula, promoting themes of relaxation and tranquility.
Between May and August, the promotional efforts achieved over 2.6 million impressions and reached an audience of more than 335,000 potential visitors. The campaign utilizes a variety of digital channels, including targeted social media advertising on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, high-quality audiovisual content, and online competitions offering various prizes to the public.
This strategic approach aims to remind local residents of the unique tourism experiences available within their own province. While the initial phase focused on the summer months, reports indicate that the promotional activities are scheduled to extend until November to maintain visitor interest throughout the late season.
