Start of the 2026/2027 Cyprus League football season

The 2026/2027 Cyprus League by Stoiximan football season is set to commence on August 28, 2026, featuring 14 teams that have undergone significant roster changes during the summer transfer period. The opening round spans four days, from Friday, August 28, to Monday, August 31, with marquee matchups such as Aris Limassol versus Apollon Limassol and AEK Larnaca versus APOEL. Additionally, the Cyprus Football Association (CFA) has scheduled the Super Cup final between Omonia and Pafos FC for September 3, 2026, at the Alphamega Stadium in Limassol.

Simultaneously, the CFA has finalized the draw for the youth championships across U-14, U-15, U-16, and U-17 categories. These youth leagues, involving the same 14 professional clubs, will begin on September 26–27, consisting of a two-round tournament structure with 26 matchdays. Official referee appointments for the opening fixtures of the professional league have already been announced to ensure the start of the season proceeds as planned. The league remains highly anticipated as clubs look to improve upon previous domestic and European campaign performances.
