Dominik Livakovic transfers to FC Barcelona
Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic has finalized his transfer to FC Barcelona from Fenerbahce, signing a contract valid until 2030. The deal is valued at approximately 2 million euros, with performance-based bonuses potentially increasing the total transfer fee to 4 million euros.
Livakovic, a 31-year-old international with 79 caps, moves to Spain after a period where he was largely sidelined at the Turkish club. Earlier this summer, the player had been linked to a potential move to Olympiacos, but the Greek side ultimately declined to pursue the deal. The goalkeeper completed his medical examinations on August 26, 2026.
Regarding his immediate future, reports initially suggested he might be loaned out to Dinamo Zagreb or another club to gain playing time, especially with Wojciech Szczesny currently holding the goalkeeper position until his contract expires in 2027. However, the club's financial situation and squad needs remain fluid, and it is possible that Livakovic will remain on the roster as a competitive option for the current season.
