Industrial fire in Aradippou and restaurant blaze in Chlorakas

Two separate fire incidents occurred in Cyprus on August 25 and 26. On the evening of August 25, a fire broke out at a small bakery warehouse in the Aradippou industrial area near Larnaca. The blaze was reported at 7:09 pm and brought under control by 7:39 pm by fire crews from Larnaca and the Special Rescue Unit (EMAK), utilizing five fire engines and a telescopic vehicle. No injuries were reported as the premises were unoccupied, but the building and its contents sustained extensive damage. The site remains under police guard pending an investigation into the cause.

Separately, in the early hours of August 26, a fire broke out at a catering establishment in Chlorakas, Paphos. The Fire Service received the call at 3:03 am and managed to bring the fire under control by 3:25 am using two fire engines. The building and its equipment suffered significant damage. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, with police specifically considering the possibility of arson. No injuries were reported in this incident either.
