Nottingham Forest to sign Liam Delap from Chelsea

Nottingham Forest has reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign 23-year-old forward Liam Delap. The transfer is intended to strengthen the team's attack ahead of the new Premier League season, following successful negotiations between the clubs and personal discussions between the player and Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner.

Financial reports regarding the transfer fee vary between sources: AlphaNews reports the deal is worth approximately 60 million euros, while Goal News Cy, citing journalist Fabrizio Romano, specifies the fee at 52 million euros. Delap joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town just one year ago for a reported fee of 35 to 40 million euros. During his time at Chelsea, he struggled to secure a starting role under Xabi Alonso, recording only two goals and four assists in 41 appearances across all competitions while logging 1,600 minutes of play.

The player, who had been training individually and was excluded from Chelsea's primary plans, has accepted the move. The deal is now subject to medical examinations and the final signing of the contract at City Ground.
