Obituary notices for two residents of Limassol

Two funerals are scheduled in Limassol for the current week following the deaths of two local residents. A 16-year-old girl, whose name has not been publicised, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026. Her funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at the Prophet Elias Church in Potamos Germasogeias, followed by burial at the Sfalaggiotissa cemetery. The family has requested that attendees wear white clothing and has asked for donations to be made to needy families in lieu of floral wreaths; they will not be receiving condolences.

Separately, 83-year-old Maroulla Georgiou, originally from Famagusta and a resident of Limassol, passed away on August 26, 2026. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Panagia Tricherousa Church. She is survived by her husband Andreas, her children Christina and Michalis, and her five grandchildren: Katerina, Stefanos, Andreas, Konstantinos, and Marios.
